Privacy Policy

The short version. NamePulsar has no accounts and no database. The text you type is sent to an AI provider to generate names and is not stored by us. Your shortlist lives only in your browser. We keep standard server logs (with IP addresses) for 14 days. We set no tracking cookies; traffic is measured with Cloudflare's cookieless Web Analytics.
1. Who we are
NamePulsar (namepulsar.com) is operated by Systhema Analytics SRL, a company registered in Romania (tax ID / CUI 45945560), based in Deva, Romania. We are the data controller for the processing described here. You can reach us at [email protected].

We do not ask for, and do not need, personal data to provide the service. Please do not include personal data (names of real people, contact details, health or financial information) in your project description. It is not needed to generate good names.
3. AI processing
To generate names we send your project description and chosen options to Anthropic, PBC (United States), via its API, acting as our processor. Under Anthropic's API terms, inputs and outputs sent through the API are not used to train its models, and are retained by Anthropic for a limited period (currently up to 30 days) for abuse monitoring, after which they are deleted. Transfers to the United States are covered by the EU–US Data Privacy Framework and/or Standard Contractual Clauses. See Anthropic's privacy policy.
The names and explanations you receive are machine-generated. The "Pulse score" is computed in your browser from the letters of the name alone and involves no profiling of you.
4. Cookies and local storage
NamePulsar sets no cookies of its own and uses no advertising trackers. For traffic measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless: it does not set cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not build a profile of you; it records only aggregate page-load metrics (page, referrer, browser type, country, timing). We use your browser's localStorage for two things you control: your shortlist of names and your light/dark theme choice. This is strictly necessary for those features, is never transmitted to our servers, and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings or the "Clear" button in the shortlist panel.
Our site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set strictly necessary security cookies (such as __cf_bm or _cfuvid) to distinguish humans from automated traffic. These are not used for tracking or advertising.
Because we only use strictly necessary storage and cookieless, privacy-preserving measurement, no cookie consent banner is required. If we ever add analytics that require consent, we will ask first.
5. Third parties
- Anthropic, PBC (US) — AI name generation, as described in §3.
- Cloudflare, Inc. (US/EU) — content delivery, DDoS protection, TLS termination and cookieless Web Analytics. Cloudflare sees your IP address and request metadata as our processor.
- Public DNS, RDAP and WHOIS registries — availability checks send only the domain name being checked (not your IP) from our server to the relevant registry (for example Verisign for .com, EURid for .eu).
- Google Fonts — the Sora and JetBrains Mono typefaces are loaded from Google's servers, which receive your IP address when fetching the font files. See Google's privacy policy.
- Namecheap, Inc. — "Register" buttons link to Namecheap through an affiliate programme. When you click one, Namecheap receives the domain name and an identifier showing you came from NamePulsar, and may set its own cookies on its site. We receive aggregate commission reports, never your identity. We also count how many times "Register" links are clicked per extension; this counter stores only the extension (for example ".com"), nothing about you. Namecheap's processing is governed by its own privacy policy.
- ClausWeb (Claus Web SRL, Romania) — "Register" buttons for .ro domains link to ClausWeb's website. This is a plain link, not an affiliate programme; nothing about you is transmitted when you click it.
- TMview (EUIPO) — the trademark search link opens a third-party site with the name pre-filled. Nothing else is shared.
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it with anyone else, except where required by law.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify or erase personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to processing, and to data portability. In practice, the only personal data we hold are short-lived server logs, which we can search by IP address on request. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority — in Romania, the ANSPDCP. To exercise any right, email [email protected].
7. Security
All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). The application runs on servers in the European Union under our control, as an unprivileged service with no persistent storage of user content. Access to server logs is restricted to our administrators.
8. Children
NamePulsar is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly process their data.
9. Changes
If we change how we process data, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes will be highlighted on the homepage.
