Company name generator
Original company names that pass the three tests that matter (sayable, spellable, ownable), with live domain availability on every suggestion.
What makes a good company name
A company name outlives products, offices and sometimes the founders, so it should be neutral enough to survive a pivot and distinctive enough to be yours. The strongest company names are rarely descriptive: Stripe does not say payments, Patagonia does not say jackets. They are short, confident words or coinages that acquired meaning through use. This generator is set to a professional register, keeps names short enough for a letterhead and checks the .com and .co that suppliers, banks and customers expect to see.
Describe the business and its customers in plain language, and add one word for the feeling you want the name to carry (solid, modern, warm, precise). That word steers the output more than any adjective list.
Tips that save a rename
- Check the companies register in every country you will operate in; a name can be free in one and blocked in another.
- Avoid words that are restricted in company law ("Bank", "Insurance", "Royal", "Chartered") unless you qualify.
- Make sure the initials are not embarrassing; long names become acronyms in internal emails.
- Register the LinkedIn company page and the domain on the same day you decide.
What is the difference between a company name and a brand name?
The company name is the legal entity on invoices and contracts; the brand is what customers see. They can be the same, but many companies keep a neutral legal name and brand products separately.
Should a company name be a real word or invented?
Invented and blended names are easier to own and trademark; real words carry meaning but are usually taken. The generator mixes both so you can compare.
Can I change a company name later?
Yes, but rebranding costs money and recognition. Choose a name that does not tie you to one product or city.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our domain name generator.
Is NamePulsar free?
Yes. Generating names, scoring them and checking availability is free and needs no account. When you register a domain, you do it directly with the registrar.
How accurate is the availability check?
We query DNS and the official RDAP registry data in real time. “Available” means the registry has no record of the domain. “Likely available” means the domain has no DNS records but that registry doesn't offer RDAP to confirm. Premium or reserved names can still cost more at the registrar, so always confirm at checkout.
What is the Pulse score?
A 1–10 brandability estimate based on length, pronounceability, syllable count and spelling pitfalls (digits, awkward consonant clusters, double letters). It helps you compare names; it says nothing about trademarks, so run a trademark search before you commit.
Which domain extensions are supported?
.com, .io, .ai, .co, .app, .dev, .net, .org, .xyz, .me, .eu, .de and .ro. Choose the ones you care about before you generate, or hit “all extensions” on any card.
Do you store my project description or shortlist?
No. Your description is sent to the AI model to generate names and isn't saved by NamePulsar. Your shortlist lives only in your browser; share links simply carry the names in the URL.
What makes a good brandable domain name?
Short (ideally under 10 characters), easy to spell after hearing it once, easy to pronounce, distinctive enough to trademark, and available as a .com or a strong alternative like .io or .ai.
