Shop name generator
Names for boutiques, gift shops and small retail stores that work on a shopfront sign and a Google Maps pin, with .com and .co availability checked live.
What makes a good shop / boutique name
A physical shop name is read from across the street, found on Google Maps by people who walked past it, and repeated by regulars ("the little place next to the bakery"). It should feel like a place, not a company. Two-word names with a concrete image (a plant, a street, an object) are the classic form and are usually still available as domains for a local business, because the domain only has to be free, not globally famous. This generator leans on warm compounds and checks the .com and .co you need for the online side of the shop.
Describe what you sell, the street or neighbourhood and the feeling you want customers to have when they walk in. That feeling is what produces names with charm instead of inventory lists.
Tips that save a rename
- Search Google Maps in your city before you order a sign; two similar shop names nearby split your reviews.
- Picture it as a fascia sign in eight to twelve letters; long names get shrunk and lost.
- Avoid product words ("Candle", "Gift") in the name so you can change the range with the seasons.
- Register the Google Business Profile and Instagram handle before opening day.
Does a small shop need a website?
A simple one, yes: opening hours, location and a few products rank for your name and support the Maps listing. If you sell online, it becomes the second shop.
Should the shop name include the town?
In the tagline, not the name. A town in the name helps local search but makes a second shop or an online store awkward.
What makes a shop name charming?
A concrete image, a soft sound and a touch of the local. Two short words usually do it; puns rarely age well on a sign.

Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know about our domain name generator.
Is NamePulsar free?
Yes. Generating names, scoring them and checking availability is free and needs no account. When you register a domain, you do it directly with the registrar.
How accurate is the availability check?
We query DNS and the official RDAP registry data in real time. “Available” means the registry has no record of the domain. “Likely available” means the domain has no DNS records but that registry doesn't offer RDAP to confirm. Premium or reserved names can still cost more at the registrar, so always confirm at checkout.
What is the Pulse score?
A 1–10 brandability estimate based on length, pronounceability, syllable count and spelling pitfalls (digits, awkward consonant clusters, double letters). It helps you compare names; it says nothing about trademarks, so run a trademark search before you commit.
Which domain extensions are supported?
.com, .io, .ai, .co, .app, .dev, .net, .org, .xyz, .me, .eu, .de and .ro. Choose the ones you care about before you generate, or hit “all extensions” on any card.
Do you store my project description or shortlist?
No. Your description is sent to the AI model to generate names and isn't saved by NamePulsar. Your shortlist lives only in your browser; share links simply carry the names in the URL.
What makes a good brandable domain name?
Short (ideally under 10 characters), easy to spell after hearing it once, easy to pronounce, distinctive enough to trademark, and available as a .com or a strong alternative like .io or .ai.
